　　3.A can't afford to do sth.為慣用語，表示"負擔不起……"。

　　與全職母親的孩子相比，對職業(yè)母親的孩子仔細進行的調(diào)查并沒有展示出任何長期的問題。我的個人觀點是，只要媽媽們想工作，那么她們就可以工作。不管我們是否喜歡這一點，有許多媽媽不得不工作，這是事實。有這樣的母親，她們已投入了大半生去創(chuàng)建事業(yè)，若是失去這份事業(yè)，她們承受不起。還有許多母親完全是出于經(jīng)濟上的原因必須工作。很多母親并不是做全職母親的這塊料，與這么可愛的嬰兒在家待幾個月之后，她們感覺受到了限制，被孤立了。

　　涉及兒童托管，有很多方式可供選擇，從托兒所和保姆到奶奶或是街對面的好心女士。然而實際上，許多父母沒有任何選擇，不管能有什么都得接受。準備好了啊!不管你選的托管方式有多好，一些孩子被留下時，都會激烈抗議，這是兒童發(fā)展過程中完全正常的一個階段。嬰兒剛出生的前六個月對與母親分開沒有感覺，但不久之后他們便會對母親和親密家庭成員產(chǎn)生依戀。要保證在第一周付出足夠多的時間來幫助他安穩(wěn)下來。
