39題，two years on，固定說法，兩年以后，兩年過去了。

40題，很容易聯(lián)想到even if或者是even though，只能填if不能填though。這是兩個(gè)意思和用法都不同的詞組。even if，即便，帶有假設(shè)的意思，后面接虛擬語氣;even though，即使，表示既定事實(shí)。40空后面的句子是虛擬語氣，因此這個(gè)題目只能填if。
