There is sanctity to be found in solitude, and Mexico City–based illustrator Idalia Candelas captures that perfectly.

寂寞獨處必有其神圣之處，墨西哥插畫家艾達(dá)利亞·坎德拉斯就完美的捕捉到了其中之精髓。

The 40-year-old is a graphic designer by trade and just got into illustrating two years ago.

這位40歲的平面設(shè)計師于兩年前才開始作畫。

In an illustration project called “Postmodern Loneliness,” Candelas captures the beauty of living alone.

在一項名為“后現(xiàn)代孤獨”的插畫工程中，坎德拉斯為我們展示了獨處的魅力

“This project is me trying to communicate my idea of loneliness. It was derived from the time I lived alone. The thing I want to convey is the fact that living alone is not bad; it can be enjoyable.”

“這幅作品是我嘗試和孤獨感交流的結(jié)晶，靈感源于我獨處的那段時間。我想向人們傳達(dá)：獨處并不糟糕，獨處也可以很快樂。”

The drawings are slated to be published in a book titled Solo, which shows women living everyday moments and enjoying their own company.

下面這些圖是即將出售的書籍《獨奏》的插畫，展示了女性獨自生活的日常，表現(xiàn)出她們享受獨處的快樂。

Candelas described the process to BuzzFeed. “First, I make a small script of the whole concept [and] after that work up the sketches. My technique is pencil, ink, and watercolor. I also do them in black and white to bring a little melancholy.”

Candelas向BuzzFeed描述了作畫的整個過程。“首先，我將整個概念做成手稿，然后將他們做成草圖。我的秘訣是鉛筆、墨水和水彩顏料。我也會將整幅圖畫成黑白色的，賦予整個作品憂傷的基調(diào)。”

After the project was featured by prominent Mexican media outlets, Candelas said she received positive responses from all over the world. “I am excited but very grateful. Now I feel the responsibility to strive more in my work.”

坎德拉斯說，這幅作品被墨西哥著名媒體大肆宣傳之后，她就收到了來自世界各地的積極回應(yīng)。“我很開心也很感激，現(xiàn)在我覺得我應(yīng)當(dāng)投入更多地精力到我的工作中。”

She also said many people have told her that they identify with the subjects in the drawings.

“The intention of Solo is for people to see women living everyday moments where they are alone and enjoy it, showing that they do not suffer or cry. The best way to understand it is loving oneself, and learning to enjoy your own company.”

“《獨奏》旨在告訴人們單身女性的日常以及獨處的樂趣，讓人們明白，單身女性并不會為單身狀態(tài)哭泣或痛苦。理解這些畫的最好方法便是愛自己和學(xué)會享受孤獨。”
