Red for danger!
【課文】
During a bullfight, a drunk suddenly wandered into the middle of the ring. The crowd began to shout, but the drunk was unaware of the danger. The bull was busy with the matador at the time, but it suddenly caught sight of the drunk who was shouting rude remarks and waving a red cap. Apparently sensitive to criticism, the bull forgot all about the matador and charged at the drunk. The crowd suddenly grew quiet. The drunk, however, seemed quite sure of himself. When the bull got close to him, he clumsily stepped aside to let it pass. The crowd broke into cheers and the drunk bowed. By this time, however, three men had come into the ring and they quickly draggedthe drunk to safety. Even the bull seemed to feel sorry for him, for it looked on sympatheticallyuntil the drunk was out of the way before once more turning its attention to the matador.

在一次斗牛時(shí)，一個(gè)醉漢突然溜達(dá)到斗牛場(chǎng)中間，人們開(kāi)始大叫起來(lái)，但醉漢卻沒(méi)有意識(shí)到危險(xiǎn)。當(dāng)時(shí)那公牛正忙于對(duì)付斗牛士，但突然它看見(jiàn)了醉漢，只見(jiàn)他正大聲說(shuō)著粗魯?shù)脑�，手里揮動(dòng)著一頂紅帽子。對(duì)挑釁顯然非常敏感的公牛完全撇開(kāi)斗牛士，直奔醉漢而來(lái)。觀眾突然靜了下來(lái)，可這醉漢像是很有把握似的。當(dāng)公牛逼近他時(shí)，他踉蹌地往旁邊一閃，牛撲空了。觀眾歡呼起來(lái)，醉漢向人們鞠躬致謝。然而，此時(shí)已有3個(gè)人進(jìn)入斗牛場(chǎng)，迅速把醉漢拉到安全的地方。好像連牛也在為他感到遺憾，因?yàn)樗恢蓖榈乜粗頋h，直到他的背影消逝，才重新將注意力轉(zhuǎn)向斗牛士。
