傳了多年的nationwide property tax(全國(guó)性房產(chǎn)稅)終于有了時(shí)間表，據(jù)報(bào)道，房產(chǎn)稅法目前正在起草中，預(yù)計(jì)將于2015年實(shí)施。目前關(guān)于method of taxation(房產(chǎn)稅征收方式)還在討論中，ratio of the tax(稅率)也還未確定。
2011年，上海和重慶作為試點(diǎn)地區(qū)開始了房產(chǎn)稅試點(diǎn)。上海對(duì)人均面積超過(guò)60平方米(含)的住房征收房產(chǎn)稅，稅率為0.4 percent to 0.6 percent of the total property price annually(年房?jī)r(jià)的0.6%或0.4%)。重慶則按“戶面積”算，一個(gè)家庭只能對(duì)一套應(yīng)稅住房扣除tax-exempt areas(免稅面積)。分每戶100平方米和180平方米兩種起征點(diǎn)，稅率在0.5%到1.2%之間。
